INITIAL STORY BY SHELLEY

The house seemed to be so quiet and silent as the moon did. I shook my head and told myself that it was probably nothing. I went to 1take a shower, and that was when I heard it. Thump. Thump. Thump. The house seemed to be so quiet and silent as the moon did. I shook my head and told myself that it was probably nothing. I went to 1take a shower, and that was when I heard it. Thump. Thump. Thump. Thump. It was coming from the direction of my dining room and the 2kitchen. It was soft and faint, almost like someone was banging against the wall 3 Thump, Thump. The noise became havier and louder each second, like the steps of a huge creature wobbling towards the room 4 Whatever it was, it stopped right at the other side of the door. Then, it spoke to me 5. “It is time to be back. I will show you the world.”The creature stopped, clutching it’s hand in front of it’s 6face. 7 I begged the creature, screaming: "I only need one more day! Please, I can't go back yet!" It was going to show me a world 8 I was sure I did not want to see. The world that I had created. My horrible mistake 9. Another evil spirit was created by the devil. 10 And then another one. I sacrificed too much for just this night. So much innocent blood spilled, so many precious souls devoured11 The night that I wanted to go back and fix everything. I used this dreaded magic to try and save her, and I had only made it all worse12 The creature spoke again, this time it sounded even more severe: "You know, there is only one way to get out of this" 13. I screamed at it, 'What do you want!' 14

Thump. It was coming from the direction of my dining room and the 2kitchen. It was soft and faint, almost like someone was banging against the wall 3 I rushed out from the shower, picked up a torch and walked towards the direction of the sound. Doors were creeking as cold air breezed 4 through. As I got closer, lightning striked and the roaring thunder consumed the noise. Everything was pindrop silent again 5
